Sundara offers a blend of Eastern and Western massage techniques designed to meet the individual mind and body needs of our guests. Massages are classified as belonging to either the Sundara Series, a traditional approach using botanicals and minerals, or the Chakra Series, based on the ancient Ayurvedic healing principles of India. The Chakra Series is based on the traditional 5,000-year-old healing science of India that encompasses authentic Ayurvedic principles. Creating an ideal state of being through bio-energy and spiritual disciplines is the outcome of these treatments. Special herbs, essences and aromas are integrated in the Chakra series. Following a Dosha, or body type analysis, treatments begin with a Ritual Footbath. The feet are washed with a detoxifying cleansing bar and massaged with fragrant massage oil. While the soothing benefits of the footbath are being realized, guests are given time to relax with their Dosha-specific tea. "Toast to Summer" Package - Available Now through July

The anti-aging and antioxidant health benefits of grape seed extract from the Chardonnay grape permeate every part of this summer spa package.  It all begins with an invigorating body scrub using Chardonnay cleansing grains, followed by a relaxing soak in a chromatherapy bath with underwater lights that sequence through the uplifting colors of the rainbow, and then a soothing full-body massage.  From there, you'll move to the salon for a Chardonnay pedicure.  Toast to the blissfulness of it all with a glass of wine or sparkling juice.

Warming Glow Massage

The therapist will light the candle of your choice, made with essential oils and shea butter, allow it to melt and then use the warmed oil in the massage. A portion of the candle will always remain and will be sent home with you to use as a massage oil or to enjoy as a fragrant candle.

Life’s Journey Foot Ritual

In ancient India, this ritual welcomed guests after a long journey. No matter the journey that has brought you to Sundara, we honor your presence in the same way. Sit back, relax and feel yourself unwind as your feet are washed in a copper basin filled with warm water. After an application of herbal oil, a cleansing foot scrub to release impurities is applied. A massage of the feet and lower legs leaves you feeling relaxed, renewed and revitalized. A hot cup of Ayurvedic tea rounds out this treatment.
